Join poet Hollie McNish, plus support from Scottish writer and poets Michael Pedersen and Shane Strachan, and author Gemma Cairney in central Paris' beloved Scottish Highlander pub, as they chat and read from their latest books. Expect strong language. 18+.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a part-seating / part-standing event. The space will stay open after the event for book signing, meet and greets, drinking and dancing.
About Hollie:

About Michael:
‘Leading the way in new Scottish Writing’, Michael Pedersen is a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship winner, a John Mather Trust Rising Star of Literature, a Canongate Future 40, Neu! Reekie! co-founder/co-chief and much more.
His recent collection, Oyster, is several times reprinted and was illustrated by and performed live with Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison.
About Gemma:
Gemma Cairney is a BBC broadcaster, magpie, and life enthusiast who has won awards for making documentaries. Gemma has presented shows and one offs for BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 2, 3, 4, 4 Extra, 6Music and BBC World Service. She is also founder of boutique production company - Boom Shakalaka Productions. She likes to write, explore the planet, trek mountains and DJ garage classics. Her books Open You Heart: Learn to Love Your Life and Love Yourself and Open Your Mind: Your World and Your Future, are must-have practical guides to navigating the ups and downs of life, and published by PanMacmillan.
About Shane:
Shane is a writer based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Much of his work is inspired by the Northeast of Scotland and its relationship with the wider world. Many of his stories and poems have been published nationally and he's also had theatre work staged in Aberdeen.
He holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Aberdeen and is an Honorary Fellow of the university's WORD Centre for Creative Writing.
