It’s Holmfirth Art Week, the first week of July, a huge festival locally that has raised almost £1Million in funds for Macmillan Cancer and has been going since 1967.

It normally attracts 400 exhibiting artists, and over 2000 pieces of artwork and approximately 10,000 visitors and spreads out from the Civic Hall, where the main exhibition is, to 32 fringe venues across the centre of Holmfirth, bringing a creative buzz to the picturesque town.

This year is going to be slightly different, with an Artweek Fringe trail on the 4th – 10th July. Fair Trader will be part of this trail, exhibiting the fabulous artwork of local artists Kate Thornton and Jo Blaker.

We will be holding a Holmfirth ArtWeek Fringe Preview Evening on Saturday evening, the 3rd July from 5 – 7pm. Come and enjoy a free glass of wine or fruit fizz. And have a look around our repurposed Top Floor, displaying Jo and Kate’s work
