Join us for HolmWOOF! , a delightful weekend dedicated to our local dog owners and their beloved companions. Enjoy a range of activities and treats tailored for both humans and dogs:
- 🐶 Dog Competitions: Show off your pup and win exciting prizes. Make sure to book our competition categories. All profits will go towards the conservation of Holmwood House. Buy your dog a ticket for each competition category you want to enter them into.
10:30 - Puppy Eyes - One to look out for! Can those eyes get you a two‑for‑one pup‑ccino?
12:30 - Dog Couture - Best costume: Canine creations that turn heads (and tails!)
2:00 - Pawsitive Vibes- Celebrating the pup whose wag is your happy hour.
3:00- Golden Oldie - Celebrating every dignified doggo whose age is their greatest charm
- 🐾 Dog Trail: Have fun in our grounds with a specially designed trail for dogs.
- ☕ Dog-Friendly Café: Indulge in special treats for both you and your canine friend, including pawpucchinos and Dog Icream!
- 🛍️ Sunday Dog Market: Browse stalls offering dog-related products and treats. There will be special demonstrations too!
- House tours: Experience the charm of Holmwood House, designed by renowned architect Alexander 'Greek' Thomson, by joining one of our tours.
Please note all dogs are welcome except those listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act UK, including pit bull terrier, XL Bully, Japanese tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Braziliero.
Frequently asked questions
There is FREE entry to our grounds, cafe and shop, including the Sunday Market. Admission to the house, which includes a tour, can be purchased on the day and it is free to NTS and NT members on presentation of their valid memberships cards. Dogs are not allowed on house tours.
Yes! Our cafe is dog friendly and as with our shop an any event, all the profits remain towards the conservation and upkeep of Holmwood House. We serve a selection of sweet treats, hot and cold drinks, Ice Creams and soups.
Yes, the property connects to the park and the access gate is open! It is a great walk with your dog before or after the event!
No, tickets are just for the dog competitions. You only need a ticket for house tours, which can be purchased on the day at the admissions desk if you want to visit the house!
