Description

A talk about from Professor Richard J Evans of Cambridge University about his key role in the libel case involving Holocaust denier David Irving. Professor Evans talks about his 740-page report, and his cross-examination for more than a week by Irving, who represented himself. The talk will go on to cover Professor Evan's role in the film made about this case "Denial" (2016) and the long lasting affects of that on him.

Richard J Evans is a British historian of 19th-and 20th-century Europe with a focus on Germany. The author of eighteen books, Evans was Regius Professor of History at the University of Cambridge from 2008 until his retirement in 2014, and has appeared on television documentaries.
