Course tutor: Aimi Rifat, Wilder Learning and Communities Officer
Learn about the Wading Birds at Rye Harbour through practical activities on the reserve, find out how they are adapted to living on the Saltmarsh and why they migrate here for the winter. We will walk up to the bird hide and learn to identify the wading birds using binoculars in the bird hide. We will then return to the classroom to explore barbs on birds feathers and barbs on sheeps wool and create a felted bird.
Suitable for children aged 5 to 11 years, who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian (no ticket required).
