Do your children eat on autopilot while their minds are somewhere else or are they aware of their food, savouring every mouthful? Would you like them to connect with the experience of preparing, eating and enjoying food in these sessions of conscious cookery and mindful eating?
Conscious cookery gives us the opportunity to experience eating and enjoying food with real awareness. Children will learn preparation techniques in a well-equipped kitchen, smelling, tasting, listening to sounds, feeling the sensation of heat, noticing texture, really connecting with the process of cooking. All the food they prepare will be organic, plant-based and locally-sourced where possible, to encourage our connection to nature and our surroundings. All their favourite foods as they’ve never experienced them!
Conscious cookery provides a wonderful opportunity to be present, mindful and aware, rather than distracted, stressed or overwhelmed. Children will learn valuable cookery skills, explore ways of preparing foods to connect with all the senses, and develop awareness of their creativity. Sharing the food encourages gratitude and appreciation, and a sense of community.
