    Online event

A 90 minute interactive online training session on Home Fire Safety Assessments (HFSA). Suitable for partners of GMFRS only.

    About this event

This Home Fire Safety Assessment (HFSA) online training is taking place over various dates and times across 2022/23. There are six dates to choose from. We will be delivering this training through Microsoft Teams.

The session will last 90 minutes and is suitable for people who work with or on behalf of people at increased risk of fire. The session is delivered by the GMFRS Prevention Training team.

In the session you will learn about:

    • The harm caused by dwelling fires.

    • How GMFRS reduces the risk of dwelling fires.

    • What a Home Fire Safety Assessment (HFSA) is.

    • Identifying people at increased risk of fire.

    • How to make an HFSA referral

Alternatively, there are also three face to face sessions available which involve a visit to our Bury Safety Centre. These are three hours long and provide an interactive opportunity to learn about this topic and meet other partners. In the face to face sessions you also learn about fire safety in the home including the five main causes of fire. You can book these through an alternative Eventbrite booking which is located on the GMFRS Partner Information webpage.

Please note to book people onto a session, we need to collate some personal date such as name, email address, organisation and any disability information (to ensure we can tailor the session if required and ensure accessibility). If you would like to read the Privacy Notice to understand how the GMCA will use your data, please email training@manchesterfire.gov.uk .
