Home for Good, will be launching in Worcester during National Adoption Week with a special event on Saturday 22 October in Worcester Cathedral.
Home for Good: Worcester is bringing together churches from across the city to get behind the vision to find a home for every child that needs one. This launch event will be completely all-age and will last under an hour. There will be a little gift activity pack to keep children entertained, as well as food and drink afterwards. This event is for anyone wanting to support fostering, adoption and kinship care, regardless of whether they are currently involved.
Member of All Saints and LA Foster Carer, Joy Pollock, says: “This is an event for anyone with an interest in this area of work. It’s an opportunity to come together as one church in Worcester and establish a Worcester Local Movement. Local movements aim to raise the profile of fostering and adoption in churches, encourage people to foster or adopt, equip churches to support families that foster and adopt, and create support networks for foster carers and adoptive parents.”
