Event description
Hear from five inspirational black founders about their start-up journey so far, challenges and triumphs, and advice for future founders.

About this Event

For black founders in the UK things have improved since 2017 when TechCrunch’s Mike Butcher tweeted: “It's great that there are so many UK ‘Women in Tech' type groups now, but where's the support and groups for black tech founders?”

However, on the London circuit, walk from investor event to panel discussion to pitch day and there’s still a sense that black founders are under-represented.

So, for Black History Month HomeHero and The Curtain are hosting an inspiring talk with five incredibly impressive black British founders from London’s startup world, all of whom have raised considerable capital to take their businesses from idea to challenger brand.

Join us in the private screening room at The Curtain members’ club for a panel discussion and Q&A covering the founder journey, challenges, wins and the importance of role models, followed by drinks and conversation.

On the panel:

Kenny Alegbe, Co-Founder and CEO of HomeHero
