Alison Gelder, Housing Justice CEO, shares about Night Shelters from The Cinnamon Network on Vimeo.
You are invited to a service at Southwark Cathedral hosted by Housing Justice, the Diocese of London and The West London Mission celebrating inspiring stories of love, transformation and hope from church run night shelters across and beyond London.
The Bishop of London, the Right Revd Richard Chartres has said in support of the
event, “We are rightly concerned with the underlying causes of homelessness in our society. But the more immediate concern is to offer shelter, food and a listening ear. There are thousands of churches throughout our Capital and I am so glad that growing numbers of them are co-operating in this practical demonstration of the love of Jesus Christ for those like himself who have no place to lay their head.”
After the celebration, we will be hosting 6 seminars covering a variety of topics. These seminars aim to help you and your church host a shelter for the first time or develop your existing shelter work.
