A chance to hear news of actions to address homelessness in Southampton
About this event
Following a conference in 2018, Southampton embarked on a partnership approach to tackling rough sleeping, drawing together organisations, businesses and individuals that care about the level of rough sleeping in the city. This partnership is called the Southampton Street Support Action Group.
You can find out more about the partnership on the StreetSupport Southampton website which is there to provide a resource for people to find help for those that are homeless, as well as for those who want to help by responding to needs and volunteering.
The June conference will gather on line those who have already pledged support to the partnership with others that care about this issue. Please join us in the vision, which was set out in the Southampton Rough Sleeping and Begging Charter which is available on the website.
At this event we will hear updates on progress since last year from partners, and about new initiatives. We have Caroline Roundhill, Rough Sleeping Adviser from the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Directorate of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities joining as the keynote speaker.
If you sign up for the event we will email the Zoom link to you using the email address you provide.
If you have not received the email with the login details, please contact Paul Leppitt at southampton@streetsupport.net .
