An online session for sponsors on the 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme to learn about successfully supporting guests
About this event
Liverpool City Council's Our Liverpool team will be hosting a session to be delivered by 'Reset Communities and Refugees’. Reset is the UK’s community sponsorship learning hub.
Successful sponsorship is all about helping those you welcome feel confident and able to navigate life in a new country. This can be achieved through adopting an empowerment approach – ‘never doing something for someone without them’.
Reset will be going through this approach that sponsors should be adopting when offering support. We’re hoping this session will be hugely helpful to both sponsors and their guests in making the best start to their hosting experience.
All sponsors based across the Liverpool City Region are welcome to attend, whether you are considering sponsoring someone, if you have already made that commitment or if your guests are already in the UK.
- Tuesday 31st May , 18.00 - on Microsoft Teams
The meeting will be held online - a Microsoft Teams link will be emailed to your email address on the day of the meeting. You join the meeting by clicking on the link within the email. Please check your junk folder or get in touch if you do not receive this link.
