Description

We’re back with Honest Talks: The Future of Work - and this time we're heading to Liverpool to explore the big issues impacting our experiences of work and the way we interact with others.

A space for open conversation, Honest Talks offers you the chance to explore ideas with others, without fear of condemnation.

Our intention is to facilitate free flowing conversation in an intimate environment – with our panellists and compere leading a discussion rather than dominating the debate.

Honest Talks: The Future of Work will discuss our changing working culture, which has seen the rise in remote team working, four-day working weeks and the multi-job ‘slash career’. With the standard 9 to 5 seemingly a thing of the past, we’ll explore the pros and cons of these alternative models.

Whether you’re a business owner, employee or a freelancer, we’ll be asking you whether flexible working has challenged you and your organisation. Has technology been the enabler you hoped it would be or has it been damaging to collaboration and working culture? And, how do we strike the right balance?

Fourth Day PR has gathered a panel with mixed viewpoints in the hope of stimulating a lively discussion. We invite attendees to join us on October 3rd from 6pm.

Panellists:

Anna Holland-Smith, Internal Developer Advocate, AutomatticA former lawyer turned software engineer, Anna works at web development company Automattic. A distributed company with no fixed office presence, Automattic has 946 staff based across 71 countries speaking 88 different languages.

Anna has a strong interest in building an equitable tech workforce, and volunteers with a number of organisations to further this aim. She is also one of the co-founders of Women Who Keynote.
