Beginning at the start of the celtic year in Autumn, we will journey through the seasons, observing the equinoxes and solstices, carving out ritual space for ourselves.

Deep nature-connection enhances wellbeing, supports our self-care, and honors the cyclical ebb and flow of our own energies. We will come into awareness of the seasonal cycles, the elements, and nature-symbolism and how it can relate to our own life-journey.

1st date: 29th Oct. Samhain. Marking the beginning of the celtic year and the time when veils between realities and between generations are thinnest. Honoring our ancestors and shedding what no longer serves us, creating the compost from which new life can emerge. We are invited to move forward into a period of deep rest through the darkest part of the year. (Two days early as I don't work Sundays!)

2nd date: 21st Dec. Yule, mindwinter solstice. Marking the return of light to the world as the days begin to grow longer again. An opportunity to descend into stillness, into the earth, deep into the foundations of our being. The demands of our culture make no time for this, especially in the way we now celebrate Christmas. Take 2 hours of deep rest for yourself at this time. Nurture new beginnings, hopes, and dream into the new year ahead.

3rd date: 2nd Feb. Imbolc. The first day of spring. The end of the hardships of winter, and reverence for the sun/fire. The first stirrings of life within the earth and within ourselves. What seeds do you wish to nurture within yourself?

4th date: 14th Feb. An alternative valentines day. Working with willow to honor the many manifestations of love in our lives - love that was lost, that never was, love in the face of suffering. Moving into to a celebration of the transformational power of desire to motivate, inspire and uplift us. What makes your heart sing?

5th date: March 21st. Ostara/Spring Equinox. Balanced between winter and summer, where day and night are equal length. The harvest of the heart. A turning point where we can find the strength and inner peace to unlock understanding and emerge into the unknown.

6th date: 1st May. Beltane. Welcoming summer, fertility and upcoming abundance. Rekindling our inner fire and tending our boundaries. A time of purification and protection through fire, smoke, and ashes. Honoring the needs of our hearts. What do we need in order to step over this threshold into the lighter half of the year?

7th date: 21st June. Litha/summer solstice. Longest day of the year. Laying aside old patterns and stepping into the new. A path home to ourselves.

8th date: 1st August. Lughnasadh. Marking the start of harvest season, a time of abundance and hopeful transformation. Honoring our mother earth and celebrating the fruits of our labours. An opportunity to cultivate gratitude, the key to optimised wellbeing.

9th date: 21st September. Mabon/autumn Equinox. Coming full circle to the middle of the harvest period, balanced equally between summer and winter. A time of shifting inner blocks and deep reflection. Discerning what we need to let go of so that the new can rise from it's rich compost.

Each individual ritual celebration can be attended as a one-off. See link here to book individual ritual sessions: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/165249761485

Disclaimer:

These sessions are designed to be group sessions. If fewer than 2 people book the sessions will either be rescheduled to a later date or cancelled. This will be discussed with those 1-2 who have booked and an agreement will hopefully be reached. A full refund will be made available in this instance.

Organiser Kim Harrrison

Organiser of Honoring the wheel:Celtic celebrations throughout the seasons ANNUAL TICKET

I am a heart-centred nature-based therapist, facilitator, and artist. I have a wealth of experience with children aged 2-18 in schools, community, and charity settings, including 6 years supporting autistic children. I also volunteered as an art therapist with adult refugees and asylum seekers for a year. My approach is rooted in my love of the animate earth and our interconnectedness with all beings.

My deepest desire is to facilitate connection at a heart level within ourselves, with eachother and the natural world. The aim of which is countering and healing the predominantly separatist, individualistic, isolating patterns prevalent in modern society. I believe this separation is at the root of many current global issues, the biggest of all being the climate emergency. Dangerous misconceptions that we can plunder resources without impact to ourselves and other species, that there is an 'away' where we can throw waste, that we are not fundamentally dependent on a livable earth for our very survival. Thus my drive to heal this rift is strongly linked to my passion for environmental issues.
