Is there parking?

We have very limited parking, which is why the event is limited to 10 families, with 1 car allocated per family.

Question 2

Are there toilets/hand washing facilities?

Accepted Answer

Toilets and handwashing are available on site, but activities are often run in the forest so recommend all visitors arrive ahead of the start to use facilities beforehand.

What if my child is under  5 years?

The event designed and suitable for the age range described. Please check out our under 5s events for younger children

Question 4

When should we arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start event.

Question 5

What is expected of parents/carers?

Accepted Answer

Hive staff will lead the events, explain activities, introduce rules, and assist all children where they can. However, carers will be expected to support their children with the practicalities and help enforce rules. It is the joint responsibility of all adults to keep the group safe.

Question 6

Is there a café or can I bring a picnic?

Accepted Answer

There is no café on site but you are welcome to stay and bring a picnic. There are also several options nearby. The closest indoor eatery is The Owl pub, at Lippits Hill. For a choice of options, visit High Beach visitor centre and carpark.

Question 7

Do you cancel in adverse weather conditions?

Accepted Answer

Our events will run in almost all weathers - Please make sure that you check the forecast and dress appropriately. In high winds we would not use the woodland but have plenty of activities that we can do in our grounds or building.

How many adults can accompany their children?

Accepted Answer

Up to two adults can accompany their children at our events.
