Event description
Join us in Birmingham for a day of lively inspiring discussion at our second Hope Conference.

About this event

The Hope conference is an opportunity to share best practice, learn from others and connect with your peers. This will be a dynamic conference, an opportunity to get involved with roundtable discussions, workshops, panels and speakers.

This is about learning from each other, sharing, collaborating and knowing you are not alone #TogetherStronger. We will welcome 100+ delegates from across business, statutory services and charities who are working to provide support, training and awareness raising on mental health and other social issues.

Bringing together those who share a commitment to challenge stigma and facilitate important conversations within the workplace and the wider community.

We are yet to release full details of our 2022 programme but you can see our Hope Conference Programme from 2021.

About the organisers

The Speakers Collective is a Social Enterprise. We have over seventy members who use their lived experience to work together with a shared commitment to challenge stigma, facilitate important conversations and promote learning on a variety of social issues.

Our aims are :

• To create a community of support for those who work alone, sharing their lived experience within business, education and public sector settings.

• To ensure that those seeking speakers can be confident that our members will speak with integrity and professionalism, in line with the Speaker Collective Pledge.

Chasing the Stigma is a national mental health charity that is committed to normalising mental health. Everybody in the world has mental health, so we make it easy to find help whenever you need it, through the Hub of Hope support app. We exist because of our lived experience. We are normal people with lived experience of a vast array of mental health concerns, who struggled to find help when we needed it. That’s why we decided to do something about it, when others wouldn’t.

We also create an environment of understanding through our Ambassador of Hope training and campaign for change in attitudes towards mental health, every day.
