Description

The Hope into Action Big Sleep Out is an event where for one night we will sleep rough. It is not a full ‘homeless experience’ but it’s certainly an insight into what thousands of people in England face every night. It provides an opportunity for Hope into Action to highlight some of the struggles our homeless have to face and gives people the chance to experience a small taste of what sleeping on the streets might be like.

This year we will be holding four Big Sleep Outs: in Peterborough, Wolverhampton, Norwich and on the Isle of Wight. To take part in any of these events, please book your free tickets below.

We want you to enjoy the event and would be grateful if you can aim to raise £100 per person.

More information on the individual events:

The Peterborough Big Sleep Out will be taking place on the Kingsgate Church grounds, 2 Staplee Way, Peterborough PE1 4YT, on Saturday 14th October from 20.30. It will be preceded at 19.00 by a celebration for the opening of our 50th house

The Wolverhampton Big Sleep In / Out is a joint event between Hope into Action: Black Country and the Wolverhampton Church Shelter. It will be taking place on Friday 13th October from 7pm to 7am the next day at Tabernacle Baptist Church @ Broad Street, Westbury St, Wolverhampton WV1 1JD. This is the venue where the shelter will be hosted from 1st November. The Wolves Community Trust and the Wolves mascot will even be making an appearance. This will then be followed by a night of sleeping on cardboard boxes either in a marquis on the car park if you are feeling hardcore, in the church hall or on one of the camp beds in a manner similar to those who use the shelter.
