Join us for Hope & Spice’s first charity supper club, with food from our cookbook.

Hope & Spice have teamed up with Anjula Devi, popular Indian chef, cooking teacher and Asha Ambassador, to bring you a generous three-course meal -- fresh, vibrant food from some of Delhi’s best home cooks. This will include a welcome drink on arrival.

We will share with you brief news about what Asha is up to at the moment, and you will have the opportunity to buy the Hope & Spice cookbook and some merchandise made by the women of the slums. All proceeds from the night will go to https://asha-india.org/

Tickets £35 per person (plus Eventbrite fee)


How will it work?

7:30pm Doors open - Welcome drink on arrival (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)

Cash bar available all evening (including wine, beer and soft drinks)

8pm Food served (latecomers can only be served until 8.15pm)

Christmas shopping! 'Hope & Spice' cookbook on sale, and other gifts. All cards and cash accepted, proceeds all go to Asha.

Starter: Samosa chaat (or gluten-free dhokla)

Main course:
Aromatic chicken curry. (Vegan/vegetarian: stuffed aubergines)
Muttar paneer (or vegan option)
Aloo beans
Black dal
Served with cumin rice, chapatis (or gluten-free makki ki roti) chutneys and raita

Dessert: Carrot halwa with citrus ice cream (or vegan option)

FAQs

Are dietary requirements catered for?

Yes, as long as you let us know by end of Tuesday 19 November 2019 (via the link below). we can cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten intolerant guests at this supper.
If you have booked tickets for other people, please ask them about dietary requirements and add to link below.

Can I sit with my friends?

Seating will be at long tables, community style, so you can make friends! Specific seats are first come, first served. However, if you book multiple tickets, we will reserve a block of seats under the booker's name. Please find out their dietary requirements and tell us by end of Tuesday 19 November via this link:

No, but we do need to know if they have dietary requirements - click the link above and let us know.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There may be a few parking spaces in surrounding streets, payable by card via smartphone (look out for street signage), but the venue is well served by public transport. Buses 490, H22, R68, 33, R70 stop right outside the church (bus stop name "St Stephen's Church"), and the H37 stops nearby at 'Poplar Court' bus stop. These routes all serve Richmond station.

Trains: St Stephen's Church (TW1 2PD) is a 10-minute walk from St Margaret's (London) station, which is only a 4-minute train ride from Richmond and the District line. The venue does not have parking for guests.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Sorry, no, ticket sales will close online 23:30 Tuesday 19 November.

What's the refund policy?

Attendees can receive refunds of the ticket price up to 7 days before the event, but Eventbrite's fees cannot be refunded.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A printed ticket helps, or please have your confirmation email ready to show on your phone.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

You can pass your ticket to someone else. They will need the paper copy or the email to show us. Please ensure you inform us of any changes to dietary requirements, either cancelling yours or adding theirs, and please do so by end of Tuesday 19 November, see notes above.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, but we will only admit that ticket once. See question above.
