Come along on 18th October between 8:30 and 10:30am to find out how Horfield CE Primary School has helped their struggling readers using ReadingWise.
Horfield CE Primary School have seen a huge impact on their students' reading skills since using ReadingWise, they now run 3 groups of 10+ learners daily.
'What is ReadingWise?' In Horfield Primary School's words:
ReadingWise is an online intervention for struggling readers, allowing groups of ten to work independently whilst supported by a trained teaching assistant.
Reach: 101 pupils have been set up with accounts since Sept 2015; average impact/success of 8 months increase in reading age an average of 8hr 38min per pupil.
Empowering staff through training and support for Teaching Assistants and teachers ensuring effective use of the intervention leading to effective reach and impact
8.30 to 9.10 or 10.10 to 10.30 – come and watch as groups of pupils participate in their daily ReadingWise sessions
9.10 to 10.10 - Presentation and discussion with school staff and ReadingWise representatives.
