Update on UK participation in Horizon Europe
Wednesday 22 June, 10:00am - 11:00am
Universities are still waiting for the draft agreement on UK association to Horizon Europe to be confirmed as the issue has become entangled in political disputes around the implementation of the Northern Ireland protocol. Researchers, research managers and other interested stakeholders from across the UK and Europe are invited to join this webinar, which will provide the latest information on the state of play regarding UK association. We will also consider the possible options for domestic alternatives and how UK-European collaboration can be sustained in case the deal does not happen. Ask a question.
Speakers include:
Frances Wood, UK Science and Innovation Network
Peter Mason, Head of Global Research and Innovation Policy, UUK International
Speaker from the UK Research Office in Brussels (tbc)
Update on the UK Horizon Europe financial guarantee
Monday 27 June, 10:00am - 11:00am
The Science Minister announced in October 2021 that the UK government will fund UK participation in successful Horizon Europe bids whose grant agreements need to be signed before UK association is confirmed. This guarantee was extended in March this year to cover all Horizon Europe calls which need to be signed off by the end of 2022. In this webinar we will provide an update on the delivery of the guarantee and give research managers and researchers from across the UK and Europe the opportunity to ask questions, which can be submitted in advance. Ask a question.
Speakers include:
Nick Todd, Regional Director, UK Science and Innovation Network
Peter Mason, Head of Global Research and Innovation Policy, UUK International
Speakers from UK Research and Innovation and the UK Research Office in Brussels (tbc)
