Description

A comprehensive introduction to horse logging in the woods, lead by Keith and Carolyn Trickey of the British Horse Loggers association.

Expect lots of hands-on work with the horse, including preparation and equipment, commands and controlling, planning the job, and ultimately timber extraction.

The course will also cover the history of horse logging and its use and relevance today, harnessing and equipment and most importantly, horse selection, care and training.

'Where Next' tips, pointers & information for those who wish to progress further with horse logging as a hobby, a new career, or as a way of managing their own woodland.

Certificate of attendance available on request for Continued Professional Development (CPD) portfolios.
