About this event

The emphasis of the course is on the correct and safe procedures to follow when working in an equine environment, and the importance of equine welfare.

Most of the sessions are hands-on with lots of demonstrations and practical exercises, with additional theory included when appropriate.

The course consists of 10 modules delivered over 6 sessions. When all 10 modules have been completed the IdEAL Horse & Stable Management Elementary Certificate is awarded.

The course provides practical strategies for those living with a disability to ensure they have an equal opportunity to achieve success.

What should I wear to the workshop?

Please wear comfortable and suitable clothing, including long trousers and sturdy shoes, boots or wellingtons. The temperature in the school varies depending on the weather and time of year and so it is advisable to wear layers of clothing including a waterproof top layer if rain is forecast.
