Introduction to Horticulture – Community Gardening Sessions- Thursday 4th September | 12:00–1:00pm- Violet Melchett Community Corner Garden
Join us on 4th September from 12:00-1:00pm for a Horticulture Workshop held in our Community Garden.
Spaces are limited to 12 participants, so registration is essential.
Community Corner is a service run by the NHS aiming to combat social isolation and help people to live well in their communities.
Have you always wanted to learn more about plants and gardening but weren’t sure where to start? Join us in the garden at Violet Melchett for a practical and welcoming Introduction to Horticulture session, led by Jaya, Wellbeing Officer at the Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea.
Jaya brings a wealth of experience from working across a range of green projects in the borough, including Lancaster West, Canalside, and Earl’s Court.
These monthly sessions offer a relaxed and inclusive space to:
- Learn the basics of soil preparation, seed sowing, planting, and caring for a range of plants
- Connect with others through shared green activities
- Build confidence and knowledge in a calm outdoor environment
This session is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to spend some time in nature, meet new people, and explore the therapeutic benefits of gardening.
For any questions about the event, please email: nhsnwl.vmcommunitycorner@nhs.net – we’d love to hear from you!
Come along, grow your skills, and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of nature.
