‘And Other Stories’ ‘Hos meaningful costume making

We will develop on our January textile art experiments to decorate a richly meaningful jacket - connected to the South West tradition of the ‘Hos. The Turning Tides Community are developing a performance that explores regional folklore and enhances it with new stories from the perspectives of people with labels - who are often under or mis-represented in modern tellings. Significant Seams is helping the wider community be part of this exciting project. We envision a fractured front, patchwork, embroidery, bleach printing, and tassels, plus poems devised in the 5 January session. Join us in making something different and wonderful for the performance!  You do NOT need to have attended previous sessions. Come get involved in this community project!
