Hosting Information Evening
Thu 24 November 2016, 18:00 – 19:30 GMT
In the last couple of years central London has seen an increase in numbers of homeless migrants who are not able to access mainstream hostels and apply for benefits. Many of these homeless people find themselves with no alternative but to sleep on the streets whilst waiting for their immigration cases to be clarified by the home office or whilst a solicitor is preparing their application. Sleeping rough is dangerous and may lead to developing mental health and medical issues, addictions and other risky situations that might ultimately have a disastrous impact on the life of a destitute migrant.
Homeless services are in desperate need for hosts in central London who can provide valuable respite to homeless destitute migrants whilst these services continue to help them find an alternative to the streets.
Do you live in London and have a spare room you could offer to a destitute migrant?
If you fit that description or would like to know more, please join us at the next hosting information evening.
