Hot Cuban Rhythms with Sarabanda

We are bringing hot Cuban Salsa with a serious groove to Guernsey, for fans of Cuban rhythms and Buena Vista Social Club!

Authentic Cuban band Sarabanda, are back as part of the Guernsey Dance Festival. Sliding effortlessly between classic Cuban Cha Cha Cha, Mambo, Hot Timba, Salsa and Son Cubano, this is Cuban music at its very finest.

Sarabanda’s obvious love of the music they play is evident in the passionate and exuberant arrangements of Cuban songs both classic and modern. The fabulous singers Yuri Moreno, hailing from Santiago – the heartland of Cuban Son, and Alfonso Mono de Jesus from Colombia are much in demand for their fantastic vocal talents. Combine this with the blistering keyboards of Sara McGuinness, solid bass grooves from Jimmy Martinez and storming trombone lines from maestro Landy Diaz supported by a steaming percussion section and you can’t go wrong.

The band regularly pack the house out Upstairs at Ronnie Scotts, London, and we are really pleased to have them back for another night of music.
