Join us when we look closer at partnership and sports sponsorship with two hotel award winning case studies.


Robin Fenwick is MD and founder of Right Formula, a marketing agency that handles all aspects of sports sponsorship. Working on the strategy roadmap development for a wide range of brands, Robin works with Hilton on their Formula 1 sponsorship of the McLaren Honda team and was winner of ‘Best global sponsorship on a limited budget’ at the UK Sponsorship Awards 2017 for their Hilton Golf Sponsorship of The European Tour.

Robin was Director of Sports Sponsorship with Hilton before founding Right Formula so has a unique insight into sponsorship from both within and outside the industry. He will discuss why he feels sponsorship can be a part of your marketing strategy whether a major brand or an independent hotel and how to create strategic partnerships that maximise the ROI on your sponsorship engagement. He’ll also share a case study of Hilton’s sponsorship of F1 and The European Golf Tour.


Steve Manfield is Area Director of Marketing Carlson Rezidor and winner of the HMA Partnership Marketing Award 2017 for Park Inn: Trolls on the Loose.

Judges said the campaign had “good alignment of brand values between both parties” and a campaign that “should produce longevity of brand loyalty because of its amazing engagement with children”.

With a limited budget, this partnership campaign allowed the group to be creative both on property and online, bringing the Trolls to life in the hotel environment, educating the market on their product and starting to build family-friendly brand perceptions.

Steve will take you through this engaging and fun Park Inn case study and how they approached the campaign, chose the right partner, future learning and measuring its success.
