There are another two parking places a bit further up on Dimples Lane.
We welcome well-socialised dogs, but they should be comfortable and controllable around other dogs. If your dog gets overly excited or reactive, this may not be the best fit for the group's safety and enjoyment.
Puppies are welcome if they're fully vaccinated, lead-trained, and can comfortably walk 1.6 miles. Consider whether they'll cope with the distance and group setting.
Perfectly normal! We'll have regular stops, and waste bags are provided. Please clean up immediately to keep the countryside pristine.
Due to safety and group dynamics, we limit to one dog per person. This ensures everyone can properly control their pet and enjoy the experience.
The route includes uneven paths, some hills, and potentially muddy sections. It's suitable for regular walkers but not recommended for those with mobility issues or anyone uncomfortable on uneven ground.
Light rain won't stop us - we'll continue with appropriate waterproofs. However, if conditions become unsafe (heavy rain, strong winds, or poor visibility), we'll cancel and try to give advanced warning.
Yes, but please inform the walk leader. We'll ensure you know the route back to the car park safely.
Generally yes, but coverage can be very patchy in some parts of the walk. The walk leader carries a phone for emergencies.
Absolutely! Dog lovers without dogs are very welcome. It's a great way to enjoy time with furry friends if you can't have your own pet.
We need a minimum of 3 participants for the walk to go ahead. If numbers are too low, we'll contact you by 12PM on the day.
While children are welcome, we recommend ages 13+ due to the terrain and presence of dogs. Younger children need to be comfortable around dogs and able to walk the full distance safely.
If you can comfortably walk 1.6 miles on uneven ground and are generally active, you should be fine. The pace is leisurely with rest stops.
There are no facilities at the meeting point. We recommend using facilities before leaving home.
The walk leader carries emergency water, but please bring your own supply for you and your dog.
For weather-related cancellations, we'll let you know by 12PM on the day of the walk. If we cannot get a message through to you the walk leader will await at the start of walk just in case messages do not get through to you. For personal cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance.
