Digitising Local Government: Customer-Driven Business Design

in a Platform World

Join senior peers and leading innovators in digital Government at a fast-paced interactive evening event which will unveil how Hounslow has genuinely re-imagined its business around its customers.

A central theme at the event is the emergence of the platform approach to Government*, which forms the background to Hounslow’s pioneering transformation of the way services are delivered.

The event will also delve into all key aspects of Hounslow’s use of the public cloud and its deployment of consumer grade digital technology, social media and open data to improve customer and user experience and save money.**

#Hounslow will challenge the way that you currently think about delivery of local services, prompting you to reflect differently about your own future business model.

- Please note that this event is not intended for suppliers -

*‘Government as a Platform’ describes a key direction of travel in Government IT with implications for every dimension of service provision and business transformation (see the Policy Exchange's recent document 'Smaller, Better, Faster, Stronger: Remaking Government for the Digital Age' p.35 and this video from Cambridge Judge Business School's Dr. Mark Thompson)

**The Municipal Journal recently carried an article by Anthony Kemp with more detail on the transformation at Hounslow, which goes far beyond becoming infrastructure free. See here
