Event description

Description

This half-day training session will teach you the principles of marketing and how to apply them to the arts. It will cover design and print, copywriting, content creation and social media. It is suited to artists or companies with some experience of putting on work in professional venues who want to improve their knowledge and practice.

Nadia Niesterowicz-Newstead is an arts marketer with experience of working with both artists and venues from the UK and beyond. Teaching artists and companies about how to market themselves and their art and work 'smarter not harder' is her jam and she has led workshops all over the country. She is currently Communications Manager at Clore Leadership.

Accessibility

This session will take place in main theatre space at South Street Arts Centre. It has disabled access to all public parts of the building. Wheelchair seating is available; please mention at the time of booking if this is required.

This session is part of a series of half day training opportunities from house. house is delivered by Farnham Maltings and is funded by Arts Council England.

Travel

South Street can be found on the south side of Reading Town Centre, 5 minutes walk from The Oracle Riverside, on the corner of South Street and East Street. It's about 15 minutes walk from Reading Railway Station.

Car Parking
There is on street parking along South Street, which is free to Blue Badge holders, and after 8pm in the evenings for everyone else (please check signage). Additional parking can be found at Queen's Road Car Park (RG1 4AR) less than 5 minutes walk away.
