How smart partnerships between developers and local authorities are providing much needed schools and jobs alongside more and better homes
The annual Housing Design Awards seminar is a comprehensive briefing on key innovations in housing procurement, design and development through detailed case studies introduced by HDA judges, followed by discussion and networking. The programme includes three sessions of presentations and panel discussions, networking drinks on the Thames riverfront, and an exhibition of all 84 of 2017's shortlisted entries.
It is jointly chaired by judges Louise Brooke-Smith and Jane Briginshaw. Confirmed speakers include Lord Mawson OBE, Ken Baikie (Peabody's regeneration director), Geoff Pearce (Swan Housing director), Sophie Timson (Telford Homes director), Stephen Proctor of Proctor Matthews Architects, Paul Karakusevic of Karakusevic Carson Architects, and Phil Kirby (Broadlands District Council CEO). However speakers may change at short notice.
Tickets cost £100 (£120 inclusive of VAT) and are available from http://hdaseminar17.eventbrite.co.uk The event always sells out, so reserve yours ASAP.
Combined tickets are available for guests specifically invited to the awards ceremony held in the same venue after the seminar, at £125 (£150 inc VAT). Please register using the Ceremony invitation link emailed to invited individuals.
Combined tickets are discounted to £60 (£72 inc VAT) for representatives of shortlisted planning authorities, who should register using the discount code emailed to their gov.uk email address, which waives the ceremony ticket charge.
Invitations can be transferred between people in the same company or organisation but please tell us of any substitutions ASAP by email to rsvp@hdawards.org, and no later than midday Friday 7th July, adding ‘HDA-RSVP’ to the subject line.
