About this event

Presentation 1: No place like home? Exploring the health and well-being impact of Covid 19 on housing and housing insecurity

It is vital at this time of uncertainty that a home provides a stable base for individuals and households to recover from the pandemic and its effects. The impact on health and well-being of having a home which is of good quality, affordable and feels safe, and having security of tenure (being able to maintain a roof over one’s head) has long been recognised. This presentation, through the health impact assessment process, explores the importance of these aspects during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Presentation 2: The Importance of household energy efficiency for health

In Summer 2021, Public Health Wales’ Policy Team will publish the latest in its series of occasional briefing papers on novel topics of interest to population health in Wales. This latest paper focuses on the importance of household energy efficiency for health. Summarizing the latest data, policy context and academic literature, the briefing aims to inform practitioners about the key domestic and international evidence, suggestions for future action and ideas for future research. This presentation will provide an overview of the briefing paper.

The link to the Webinar will be added to the Eventbrite page and emailed to all registered attendees ahead of the date.
