Housing in the Ouseburn Past, Present and Future
Date and time
Description
Ouseburn Futures is hosting a workshop in PROTOHOME, to discuss the housing that could be developed in the Valley in the future, starting with a glance at what was there in the past, and the new buildings put up in the recent past. What sort of housing do we imagine here? Who might live here? And what do we mean by high quality housing for the Ouseburn Valley?
Doors open 5.30 with light refreshments. Workshop 6pm-8pm
BOOKING ESSENTIAL
PROTOHOME is a self-build housing project created by members of Crisis, the national charity for single homelessness. The ‘house’ is open to the public until August 2016, hosting a series of exhibitions and events, from talks, to film screenings, workshops and artist’s residencies, examining the design-build process and examining the themes of housing, homelessness, the politics of land and development and participatory alternatives.
