market failure – empty homes – regeneration – lack of affordable homes – increasing homelessness – bedroom tax – damp & disrepair - inequality between regions & between generations – benefit changes – unregulated private rental market – overcrowding
It’s not just headlines. Recent reports from Crisis and Shelter show that the housing crisis really is serious, across all parts of the country And things are set to get worse. The implications for frontline services are all too obvious – demand is growing constantly.
Many churches are rising to the challenge, but others wrestle with the scale of the problem and wonder how they can help – or if one church can make a difference.
And as housing need grows in all parts of the country we are going on the road! This will be the third Housing Justice Roadshow for 2014, Our main partner for Gloucester is Rooftop.
This event will bring you up to date with the latest information at national and local level, as well as introduce straightforward projects to help your church, indeed any group, tackle the problems on your doorstep.
Come and join us and together we will make a difference.
