“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead

Rising rough sleeping, hidden homelessness, migrant destitution, welfare cuts, the growing shortage of genuinely affordable housing, Brexit..

2016 is the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Catholic Housing Aid Society, which merged with the Churches National Housing Coalition in 2003 to become Housing Justice. We aim to use this year to inspire and encourage churches, faith groups, community projects, homelessness charities, and the statutory and voluntary housing sector to unite together so that Housing need and Homelessness are more effectively addressed.

We would like to invite you to a day looking at the needs from an informed local and national perspective, and to see where churches have a role to play. It could include speaking up for people in poverty and housing need. It may be time to roll up our sleeves to work in partnership with others to be part of the solution.

Come and engage with the issues, from an informed local and national perspective, learn about what is already being done, see where churches have a role to play, share perspectives, network and plan responses at the local, regional and national level.
