Aimed at social housing providers, and their voluntary sector and health partners, we'll look at housing providers with dedicated social prescribing roles, as well as those where social prescribing is part of a number of jobs, and examples of resident-led schemes.

Housing workshop series

This is the second of a series of workshops to support new partnerships between housing providers, other voluntary organisations, and the NHS. Sign up to take part and join our community of practice.

Housing providers work with a wide range of voluntary organisations to access social prescriptions for their residents. In some cases they provide the venues for activities that support the wider local community as well as tenants.

This session will focus on examples of partnership working with national voluntary organisations who have the potential to extend their practice to working with more housing providers. Key areas to include in this theme are financial well being; supporting people with long-term condition; tackling social exclusion; and living well in later life.

These free workshops, each of around 20 people, will cover successful models from across the sector, and help you build your own approach to social prescribing.

Accelerating Innovation in Social Prescribing supports national voluntary organisations to develop their social prescribing ideas, so they can develop projects and approaches which have greater impact, wider reach and help reduce health inequalities.
