We'll be hearing from three fantastic speakers:

Jake Hurfurt from Big Brother Watch will tell us about the new developments in government algorithmic decision making he has uncovered, and how transparency loses out as a result
Gabriel Geiger will share behind-the-scenes information about Lighthouse Reports' award-winning Suspicion Machines investigation which revealed how machine learning algorithms were disproportionately targeting individuals based on ethnicity and gender
Morgan Currie will tell us all about her recent research that analysed 51 FOI requests to reveal how the UK’s Department for Work and Pensions uses secretive data analytics to detect welfare fraud, and uncovers broader learning for civil society actors using FOI to enhance transparency.
