Description

What is this day about?

This training day will provide an overview of attachment theory, how this relates to pupils’ emotions and behaviours and their relationships in schools, and how this can inform our interventions.

What will I learn?

This training day will help you learn how to better understand pupils’ behavior, relationships and emotions through using an understanding of attachment theory. We will work through case studies to apply this knowledge in order to understand pupils’ needs, and then discuss strategies staff can use to help pupils develop better relationships and engage better with school life.

This session is only available to high school staff in Lancashire schools.

It is aimed at all school staff, especially SENCOs, pastoral leads, TAs and any other staff with specific responsibility for pupils’ emotional health.

What else do I need to know?

This training is free of charge for anyone working in high schools in Lancashire. Places are limited to 30 and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Places are limted to three people per school. The day will run from 9.30 - 3.30. Further details will be sent out after you have registered on the course.

We will provide refreshments but lunch is not provided.
