Baroness Barker, spokesperson for the Voluntary Sector and Social Enterprise, will be speaking about her involvement in the House of Lords Select Committee for Charities and the relevance of innovating in the digital arena.
Following research by Charity Checkout, which highlighted a lack of web readiness amongst many charities and not for profit organisations, we will look at what this means for the sector. How does it need to adapt and benefit from digital opportunities so that it can thrive better in the future.
There will be lively discussion on how charities and not-for profit organisations need to innovate and prosper in the digital arena and how an effective online presence which improves brand awareness and support for their cause will help to increase online fundraising.
We will also be joined by Debra Allcock Tyler, Chief Executive for the Directory of Social Change (DSC) who will be talking specifically about charities starting up and how to guarantee success.
