We are facing significant challenges globally with climate change and resource depletion; nationally with austerity and social inequality; and locally with reduced budgets for charities and public services.

To address such challenges requires creativity and the ability to work together to bring solutions to life. These are skills that people in marketing, communication and digital have in abundance. Many people in those industries are asking how can they use their skills to help create the positive change they wish to see.

We want to explore what is really important to us, what we truly value, and how we can use our skills to have a positive impact.

In this practical one-day workshop we create the space to explore our values - the underlying guiding principles that influence how we think and what we do.

We will expand our understanding by exploring our connection to nature through ecological theory and spending time outside on the hills.

We will take the time to understand who we are, the situation we find ourselves in, how we relate to it, and what we can do about it.

The day is led by Jeremy Mathieu, sustainability advisor in the media industry; Jonathan Wise, planner and co-founder of The Comms Lab; and Viv Slack, digital consultant at Objectives First.

It promises to be a fascinating day where like-minded people come together in nature and begin to see how they can make a positive difference in the world.
