How Can I Keep From Singing: America's Finest

Come join us for an incredible evening of music in the fabulous setting of St Thomas of Canterbury Church in Goring, Reading. America's Finest showcases the best of acapella works from the US. Favourites from Laruidsen and Whitacre will feature, but there are such a lot of beautiful motets and folk-inspired works from Lowry's How Can I Keep from Singing to Burleigh's My Lord What A Morning it's hard to know where to start.

Immerse yourself in the soulful melodies and powerful harmonies that will leave you wanting more. Pioneers like Copland and Barber are balanced with superb compositions from Gjeilo, Thompson and Quartel. The Earth Song by Ticheli is too rarely performed, but like Lauridsen 'sound well' it has set the tone for much of the most popular compositional work now. There's also some fun to be had with the more folk-inspired pieces - a rich vein of inspiration.

So mark your calendars and grab your friends for a night of pure musical acapella bliss. Don't miss out on this extraordinary opportunity to witness some of the finest music America has to offer - delivered with 24's usual energy and aplomb. We can't wait to see you there!
