Event description

Description

Cities and communities are playing an increasingly important role in local energy systems. Whether this is generating their own energy or helping residents to manage their use and cut their bills. This event is bringing together experts from local government, community energy groups and charities to look at these opportunities, and to discuss the steps local and national government can take to provide necessary support.

Join an expert panel, in association with Smart Energy GB, as it looks into how communities can gain more control over their energy access and usage, and what steps national and local government can take to provide the necessary support.

If you would like to keep up to date with Smart Energy GB’s campaign, please sign up for updates.

Speakers:

Frank McAveety - Leader of Glasgow City Council

Cllr James Noakes - Mayoral Lead for Energy and Smart City, Liverpool City Council

Chris Blake -  Director, The Green Valleys CIC
