Event Details

An introduction to the basic skills of action-learning
Understand the concept, meet some of the key micro-tools
and explore how to put them to work for you.

Can you help individuals and organisations evolve in the face of global economic, social and environmental change? Would you like to work with a group of senior professionals improving how they create value for their customers and communities?

We invite you to explore how Action Learning can benefit you and your work.

Action Learning is a highly-effective process where people ‘show and tell’ live challenges and address them in confidential small groups. Harnessing the diversity of their knowledge, experience and perspectives helps them reinterpret familiar concepts and produce fresh insight.

Simple and cost-effective to run, action learning is a smarter way to work than traditional plan-do-review. The skill is in the sophisticated way we learn to ask questions together. You’ll start to see and hear things differently.

Many of our clients like it so much that they’ve chosen to use it to improve performance across the whole of their organisations. Some use it with their sub-contractors. Others just take it as a bag of cool tools for managing people and situations.

Sign-up to one of our taster workshops where we’ll show you some techniques you can put to work immediately. Management needn’t be monotonous. Experience it in stereo.

Benefits of Action Learning
- Progress new opportunities and develop new ideas;
- Explore new ways of thinking and doing in a safe environment;
- Generate learning and turn it into action at work;
- Explore creative ways to bring about change;
- Test assumptions and learn what works;
- Gain insight into how others solve problems;
- Understand and increase strengths, weaknesses and interpersonal skills;
- Deal effectively with stress.

Who should come?
Employees and freelancers from any sector who are responsible for generating income; teachers, lecturers, facilitators and other learning professionals.

Participation in this introductory workshop will give delegates the skills to access Contented's action-learning programmes with short courses and our online learning platform, as well as our overseas placement programme, Ontente.
