Event description
Illusion, exploration, aircraft, the parachute, womens' rights - you name it, Cheltenham has made its mark!

About this Event

Next time you take a bath or watch Star Wars, go shopping or board an airplane, raise a glass to Cheltenham. Before Lush, there were Cheltenham salts; before John Williams there was Gustav Holst; before Westgate shopping centres there was the Montpelier Arcade; and before the Boeing 747 there was the Meteor. Find out how Cheltenham pioneers opened up the interior of Australia, launched the parachute, and even gave George Michael the iconic look of the 80s.

Details

The walk starts from the Royal Well bus station, Cheltenham at 10am and will last approx 1.5 hours. We will finish at the lively Suffolk Square market.

The walk will take place whatever the weather so please dress accordingly. In the event of heavy rain, we will stay undercover as much as possible.
