Overview

Improve communication by encouraging your child to listen to you and talk to you

"Why won't my son just listen to what I am saying?"

"Why do I have to repeat myself so many times?"

"My daughter just won't tell me what is going on, even when I can see she is upset"

The biggest complaint parents have is that their children don't listen.

The biggest complaint young people have about adults is that they "JUST DON'T LISTEN"

So often this means that we end up in conflict, so what can we do to change this?

This online session will help you to understand:

  • How it feels when we are speaking and no-one listens
  • Why we should listen to the small stuff as well as the big stuff
  • How this reduces conflict
  • Practical advice on how, when and where to listen

This interactive session and popular session is a Supporting Links Bitesize Parenting Workshop; this one hour event will take place via Zoom and will include a Q&A.

Previous attendees have said:

"Great presenters. They seem to get better and better every time!"

" This workshop makes somuch sense!"

"Realising that the things that may seem irrelevant to me might actually mean a whole lot to my kids is so powerful"

The session is open to all parents and carers of children at The Beacon School.
