KEF and re:sonate Present: The Big Questions

How do we create a more sustainable music industry?

From touring and vinyl packaging to festival waste and single-use plastics, the music industry faces urgent challenges in reducing its environmental impact. But sustainability isn’t just about reducing harm — it’s also about reimagining the role music plays in our relationship with the planet. Initiatives like EarthPercent, co-founded by Brian Eno, are directing funds from the music industry towards climate action while championing the provocative idea of crediting nature itself as an “artist” on streaming platforms — a reminder of the deep interconnection between creativity and the environment. This panel spotlights artists, festivals and organisations leading the way, asking: what bold cultural shifts, financial frameworks and grassroots actions are needed to build a truly sustainable music ecosystem?

About The Panel

  • Tim Garcia (re:sonate Founder)
  • Tina Edwards (re:sonate Founder)
  • Ruben Planting (Chair, Music Declares Emergency)
  • Louis VI (Rapper, Zoologist & Climate Activist)
  • Becky Young (Earth Percent, The music industry's climate foundation co-founded by Brian Eno)

Proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Earth Percent.

Please note, videography and photography will be taking place during this event. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of the KEF Team on the night.
