This evening conversation hosted by Belfast City Council will officially welcome the Festival to Belfast with inspiring stories, refreshments and a chance for all of our partners and festival hosts to meet and mingle and begin to meet the unusual suspects.
We'll explore how we can make cities more welcoming. Speakers include Councillor Aileen Graham, Chair of City Growth and Regeneration Committee, Pádraig Ó Tuama, a renowned poet, theologian and peace worker at Corrymeela, Penny Travlou of Options Food Lab in Greece, and Mark Hackett, a Belfast-based architect and director of City Reparo.
About the Unusual Suspects Festival: After the success of two festivals in London and in Glasgow, we are hosting the Unusual Suspects Festival again this year in Northern Ireland on October 12- 14, 2016. 3 days, 2 cities, 15+ events, 40+ organisations all exploring what happens when social innovation meets collaboration and how together we can meet some of society's most pressing challenges. TheFestival brings together the 'unusual suspects' from across Northern Ireland and the world, people who wouldn't normally cross paths, to explore how we can work together in new and different ways to create real social change.
