Event description

Description

Communication is key to the success of any fundraising and video is now the best way to connect with people - especially to engage people to donate to your crowdfunding campaign.

During this online session, we'll show you tips, tricks, and tactics you can use to help you plan, shoot, and share videos today.

What will this online session give me?

  • Hear from peers who have made zero budget videos for their crowdfunding campaigns - how they did it (and what worked and didn't)
  • How to make an effective video with your smartphone
  • Ways to share your fundraising message on video
  • Tips to shoot useful video footage
  • Easy-to-use tools to edit your videos
  • Sharing your videos to raise more money.
  • Practical examples

Join this online session to hear how to do it from experts and learn the difference videos have made for other local charities.

We helped Tim from small charity Salem Union gain new skills and money through our training. “We were fundraising novices so this training enabled us to go from nothing to executing a successful campaign.” Salem Union raised £5,666 from 102 people in 40 days.

This online session is brought to you as part of Local Charity Day, and is funded by Office for Civil Society. The day aims to raise awareness of small, local charities to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.

About GlobalGiving UK

GlobalGiving is the first and largest global crowdfunding community for charities. We are a registered charity that helps charities anywhere raise funds for their services and programmes. We work with the crowd to get more funding to great smaller organisations.

We have helped 13,000 community projects raise over £137 million from 471,000 donors since 2002.

387 people attended one of our Crowdfunding workshops or webinars last year and went on to raise funds online through crowdfunding and online fundraising for their work.
