How do you value your green spaces?
Mon 17 October 2016, 10:00 – 16:00 BST
This is an interactive exhibition about your green spaces and cultural environment in Chelmsford and Essex.
The ‘How do you value your green spaces?’ exhibition is run in collaboration with the Ideas Hub, Essex County Council, Chelmsford City Council and Oxford University as part of their OpenNESS Project – www.openness-project.eu .
Simply we would like to know what natural and heritage green spaces are important to you.
We are asking you to take part in an exhibition, which contain information on a survey in which we would like you to show us how and where you make use of green spaces in Essex. Because this is an interactive exhibition, your involvement will help Essex County Council and other organisations to make important decisions about how green spaces are managed in the future.
There will be five wall maps representing five different ways we use green spaces and we would like you to use different coloured pins to mark for Chelmsford and for Essex your views on where you value green spaces.
We are also running a photography and art work competition with a chance to win a family ticket to Colchester Zoo. The competition closes on Friday 28 October at 3:45pm.
For your chance to this fantastic prize donated by the Zoo’s Management, we are inviting all ages to get outdoors with your camera, paints or pens and capture what you value of your local environment in Essex, whether it shows aesthetic beauty, or wildlife or recreational fun.
