How does the left build a credible economic vision?
Date and time
Description
From Bill Clinton and Tony Blair to Jeremy Corbyn and Bernie Sanders, it cannot be denied that the economic vision and aims of the political left have shifted significantly over the past 20 years. The rapidly changing labour market and the rise of the gig economy have also posed some important questions, forcing us adapt our policies so that they still align with the fundamental values that we hold.
This event will aim to uncover some of the most critical issues facing the economy and how Labour and other left-wing political parties can best address these. We will also discuss the issue of credibility and how we can ensure that the economic argument is not hijacked by the political right.
